Opportunities
Opportunities abound for youth (Grades 6-12) at Northwest Presbyterian Church. Sunday mornings at 9:40 AM, we offer Sunday School for middle and high school students. Sunday evenings during the school year are times for Youth Fellowship, which consists of fellowship activities (both on-site games and off-site trips), opportunities for service (both on-site and at various ministry sites) and study of scripture, faith practices, and topics that pertain to life as a teenager. During the week there is often a Bible study for those who desire a deeper experience of faith and community within a small group.

Facilities
Northwest Presbyterian provides a wonderful youth facility called the Youth Lodge. This building houses Sunday School rooms, entertainment options (pool, air hockey, ping-pong, mini basketball, foosball, a big screen TV), and a snacking area. There is also a great porch just outside for relaxing and enjoying the day!

About Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry at Northwest Presbyterian Church is based on four components that work together to build a healthy sense of community for the student between himself or herself and the group, God and his or her most true self (the whole person that God made him or her to be). The four components that help create this community are service, worship, study, and fellowship.

Service opportunities give students a way to not only help others but to also put into action the faith that has been developing through other components. Some service opportunities such as projects with Central Presbyterian Outreach Center take a few hours, while others are more time intensive such as summer mission trips.

Students are given the opportunity to participate in worship throughout the year in addition to planning and implementing Youth Sunday once a year. These opportunities enable students to have an active part in the worship life of the whole community of faith at Northwest Presbyterian Church.

Students are encouraged to develop their faith lives further through study. There are opportunities to learn and grow through study in Sunday School, Youth Fellowship, Bible study, and Confirmation class.

Relationship building is a key part of development for adolescents. Therefore, fellowship is a key component of Youth Ministry. The task of relating to others, both those who are similar to and different from us, is one that often serves as a pointer to God's grace and ideal of community within the Body of Christ and global community.
