Music

The psalmist tells us to make a joyful noise to the Lord, to worship the Lord with gladness, and to come into his presence with singing. Northwest Presbyterian Church responds with an active performing arts ministry, including music and drama opportunities.

Our Chancel Choir, under the direction of Drew McMillan and with the assistance of four section leaders, leads the congregation in song during worship. William Fred Scott is our organist. Choir rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00PM and on Sunday mornings at 10:15AM. Ours is a warm-hearted and inclusive choir group; all who wish to join are welcome. In addition to our Chancel Choir, the Children's Choir performs periodically, lifting our hearts with joyous songs of praise. Also, we are in a cooperative arrangement with the Buckhead Youth Orchestra, whereby the orchestra utilizes our facilities for rehearsals and concerts, and on occasion, joins our own musicians in providing worship music.
