Gather

Making friends on the journey of faith is more than a part of our mission statement; it is who we are. Whether in our small group Sunday School classes, Youth programs, fellowship activities, or vibrant and inclusive Presbyterian Women (PW), you will find many opportunities to connect with others and make friends.  Check the NWPC Weekly for current fellowship events.  Or read more about these special opportunities:

Fellowship Activities

Sunday Morning Breakfast: Northwest is "the Church who serves breakfast."  From late August through the end of May, we serve a hot breakfast on Sunday morning at 9:00am. before the Sunday School hour. In the summer months, a continental breakfast and time of fellowship is provided at 10:30am before the worship service.

Sunday Lunch Together: Several times throughout the year, we gather for Sunday lunch following the 11:00am worship service.

Suppers of Eight: Several times a year, groups of eight adult members gather in one another's homes for a fun, relaxing supper. Usually, one family plans and hosts the meal and provides the main dish. Others bring side dishes and desserts. This is a great way to get to know one another in a small group setting. The suppers are also a wonderful way for new members to feel comfortable and warmly welcome.

Celebrating the Seasons: We mark special times of the year in many ways:

  • Easter Egg Hunt: The annual egg hunt is a joyful reminder of Easter's promise. A special treat is in store for the child who finds the golden egg.
  • Ice Cream Social: We celebrate the completion of Vacation Bible School with an ice cream social immediately following Sunday worship. It’s a fun opportunity to eat dessert first!
  • Trunk-or-Treating: The church family celebrates autumn with a family dinner and costume contest, followed by a safe and fun-filled trunk-or-treating time in the church parking lot.
  • Christmas: The Christmas season brings many opportunities for food, fun, and fellowship, including Hanging of the Greens,  Christmas Caroling, and a Children’s Christmas Pageant.
