Pastor

The Rev. Tim Boggess began his service at Northwest in June of 2008. He is a 1992 graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and began his ministry as the Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Cartersville, Georgia. He served this church of 500 members until 1997 when he was called to be the solo pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Perry, Oklahoma. In 2003, Tim was called once again, this time to become the Pastor/Head of Staff at Madison Presbyterian Church in Madison, Georgia, where he served until being called by Northwest in 2008. Tim married his wife, Heather, in 1997. They have two children, Claire and Graham.

Drew McMillan
Drew McMillan
Director of Music
A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Drew made his local musical debut with The Atlanta Opera in the 1995 production of Il Travatore. He also served as an apprentice for the Sarasota Opera. He started singing barbershop music in 1984 and is currently the director of the Stone Mountain Barbershop Chorus as well as the Viking Barbershop Chorus in association with the Gwinnett Young Singers. Drew teaches voice and piano and lives in Kennesaw with his wife, Susan Galanes, and daughter, Olivia.

Organist
William Fred Scott began as our organist in September 2009, having recently completed serving as interim Director of Music at the Cathedral of St. Philip.  He was also the Artistic Director of the Atlanta Opera for 20 years, and is currently Head of Choral Activities at Westminster Schools. Fred brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and talent to the position, and we are very pleased that he will be assisting the choir and the music program.

Scott Mize

Administrative Manager
Scott began working for Northwest in October 2007, serving as the administrative assistant. In September 2010, he was promoted to administrative manager. He was previously an origin agent and operations assistant with Graebel Van Lines. Scott teaches voice and piano at the New School of Music in Dunwoody, and finds some time to perform with Like the Dickens Carollers. He received a BA from Clayton State University and Masters of Music from The North Carolina School of the Arts, where he also completed a fellowship with the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute.

Debra Cuvar

Debra Cuvar
Administrative Assistant
Debra began working for NW Presbyterian in September 2010.  Debra worked at the Safe America Foundation as their Director of Community Relations/Programming before becoming a stay-at-home Mom.  Debra also served as the Financial Coordinator for Mops International at McEachern UMC.
Debra and her husband, Jim, live in Powder Springs and have two boys, Scott and Mitchell. 
Debra was 3rd Runner-up for Mrs. Georgia International in 1996 and was also a L’ Agence Model in Atlanta.  She is also a Master Cosmetologist.
